Wing

is not your standard member of the Circle of Light. Like the others, he left Cybertron to save the planet's ancient culture. Unlike the others, the current isolation in New Crystal City does not sit well with him. While the likes of Dai Atlas believe that the only duty they have is to protect themselves and their society, Wing sees the concept of aiding those in need as a basic tenet of life. This view has put him at odds with his peers, but also led to his being drawn towards the Decepticon Deadlock. He sees a being in need of help, and as such, Wing will do whatever it takes to bring Deadlock to the side of the angels.

Some of the parts can open, but nothing is inside the canopy, it is mainly for transformation purpose.

The front landing gear is just underneath the nose.

My fingers is hard to reach the front landing gear, it's best left it like in the right picture, much easier to flip out the landing gear.

I think this look better without moving the wings to the middle.

Almost 7 inches tall.

Close up on the head. This head is already on the figure when the box come. (This is the later look of Wing in the comics, because the head design is almost look like Drift, so, the writer change the crest color in late stories of IDW Drift series)

The other head included in the box. Nothing different, just the color on the crest is white, should be say, un-paint.

Back. Notice that the elf ears is on hinge, it can collapse for transformation purpose.

This is a good place to store the spare head if don't want to lose it. (if you planning to display the figure in robot mode in long period of time)

It's actually the design of Wing is a little bit weird, square chest and round shoulder, but it look nice and unusual(the good one).

The design of the arm is really nice, but the length of the engine make difficulties for playing the figure.

My only dislike thing on the back is the canopy, I wish it could collapse to shorter length. (the sheath armor is not a problem for me)

The nose of the alt mode is actually transform to the sheath in robot mode. And those blades is fitted nicely into the sheath.

For my point of view, the legs look same like in the comics.

My most favorite part of transforming this figure is the lower legs.

Head is on ball joint and it can turn 360.

Moving backward is good, but moving forward is a little weak, chin can't even touch the chest.

Arms articulations is not bad, fingers is on hinge, trigger finger is separated, elbow joint can fold more than 120 degree, shoulder is on balljoint and hinge, but the jet engine shoulder is still a bit annoying.

The grey part under the armpit is a locking part from the backpack, quite a cool way to fill up the armpit notch.

Waist is on swivel joint, it can turn 360 too, it is kind of tight.

Legs is well articulated, it can pose most of the difficult fighting moves.

Even a side kick like this isn't a problem for Aero Alpha.

This two swords look like Chinese Butterfly Sword to me, but way more cooler. The paint on the blade is also look very nice.

When putting the sword into the sheath, I felt not much frictions on my grip, but in long period, I'm afraid the sheath will damage the paint on the blade, it's best to be careful on this.

The Great Sword from Circle Of Light.

The sword is separable to hilt and blade.

The back of the hilt, a peg for plugging the hilt under the alt mode.

Transparent red Great Sword came with this box(not in the box), I think this is only available for the first release?

The red one is also same like the normal great sword, hilt and blade are separable.

The middle piece on the backpack is for holding the Great Sword.

Flip over the middle piece on the backpack and slide the sword into the rectangular slot. But there is a problem, the slot is really tight, it will damage the paint on the normal Great Sword, so I will only store the red sword on this slot.

With all the weapons on the figure.

Actually the backpack is hollow but separated into three sections, the only clear section is the left side, it is loose, but the Great Sword is suitable to store in that place. (I don't know they intend to do that or not)

It's not bad to put the sword there.

All my MMC collections, line up comparison.

Compares to Hasbro/Takara figures. Seems like its size is stuck in the middle of Deluxe and Voyager class figures, but more close to Voyager class, so, it should be call Voyager class for Aero Alpha. It really can't play along with the Generation Deluxe Drift, size is too different, like adult and children different.
