AUTOBOT WHIRL.
Whirl
Vorns before Optimus Primal coined the phrase "Sometimes crazy works", Whirl
was living it in action. Whirl believes that, logically speaking,
insanity makes an extremely effective weapon. Enemies flee in terror
before the absolutely insane maneuvers he pulls on the battlefield. His
extreme maneuverability in helicopter mode lets him spin, bob, weave,
dive, and bank like someone totally out of control. Or totally out of
his mind.
Needless to say, Whirl is a rather reckless fighter and can take
damage because of it. He's okay with that, because he absolutely LOVES
his job...perhaps a little too much. Many of Whirl's comrades
remain unsure if his wild behavior is truly an affectation, or if his
increasingly-fleeting displays of rationality are actually the facade
hiding a troubled psyche.

I chose Hasbro version because I don't like the color of Takara version Whirl.
The canopy is open-able.
There are some details in the cockpit.

Gerwalk mode. (because this design is original from "Special Armored Battalion Dorvack" mecha anime, I believe this mode is from that stories.)
Gerwalk mode (third mode) is kind of like awesome-nous in that era.
This mode is like a Metal Gear Rex for me...

So, this is Gazzette in S.A.B. Dorvack, Roadbuster is Caliber, then which one is Tulcas? Tankor...??
Close up on head, with light piping.
Nothing really special on the head, except the shutter for the light piping. Neat detail for that.
Ball-joint neck can twist 360, can look up for certain degree.
Arms articulation are agile, thanks to the way it transform.
Legs are chicken leg style, not bad just standing, but for posing, there is a bit difficulty.
Several weapons parts include in this box, rockets launcher.
Gatling gun.
Ray gun parts? (I know this is plasma cannon in Shockwave version)
And a bunch of missiles.
Full armed Whirl. Look really cool with all the weapon parts on.
There is one transformation step didn't show in the instruction menu, the shoulder strut parts can collapse into his torso.
This part here have a tab, it have to face down to collapse into the torso, then it will lock down, the shoulder would be more stable to turn.
Look more like Cybertronian now?
Gazzette attack!
Compare with his fellow Autobots.
He is the shortest among this class.
