OVERLORD

Overlord
This towering warrior is an amalgamation of the deadliest Decepticon weaponry known, armed with laser blasters and grenade launchers in his stomach, and the terrifying ability to prevent the wounds he inflicts upon his opponents from healing. He is even equipped with an internal arms factory. Overlord is formed from two individual vehicles, a tank and a jet, which combine together to form his colossal robot mode, a heavily-armed advance base, or a larger jet capable of space flight.

Overlord's alt mode split into two war machines.

Overlord upper parts turn into a jet plane call Megajet, kind of look like Blackbird stealth bomber.

Top of the jet plane.

The pilot of the jet plane is Mega, which is the wife in the Overlord duo.

The cockpit looks really nice from this angle, maybe the color of the transparent hatch, it's actually it don't have any controller in the cockpit.

I like the design of the front landing gear, and it works well too.

A lots of details sculpting on the Megajet, especially on the back.

There is four Headmasters standing point on the back of the jet.

The nose tip is removable, some say it is for easier access to the lower hatch purpose?

Tank mode 360 GIF. The pilot of the tank is Giga, the Husband of the duo, so this tank call Gigatank.

The cockpit is same with the Skyshadow one, just different on color.

The Megajet can do the scene that it carry the tank to the sky and deploy to other location.

But it does not clam the tank that tight it wouldn't fall off, it is just for display purpose.

Base mode.

It looks good, functional, but the outlook still can't compare to the G1 version.

The back of the base. It is actually look way better than Skyshadow base mode.

My fan made large jet mode.

Kind of works, but it looks dumb.

Hasbro version Megajet(left) VS Takara version Megajet(right), which is better? Both got their own good point, it is hard choose which is the best.

Hasbro version Gigatank(left) VS Takara version Gigatank(right), I will choose Takara version, because the color is darker(look better), the turret front armor panel with lining looks a lot nicer than the Hasbro one.

Skyshadow line up with both version of Megajet, Skyshadow looks not bad, but I prefer Megajet's design.

Of course the black tank look much better than the white and blue color tank!

Both Takara and Hasbro version base mode compare, actually they look not much different, hard to compare. This two base is actually connected, they can connect to the back too.

Overlord base mode look a lot close to a base mode than Skyshadow, so I prefer Overlord base mode.

Giga figure in Headmasters version, he suppose to be a Godmaster.

Side. The figure look not bad, especially I like the side of the arm.

Back with a huge white face. The left arm ball joint is actually a little bit loose, easy to pop off.

Headmaster figure of Mega. The bottom of the feet is slanted, maybe I sand a little bit to make it right?

Side. Mega is looking good too, the best thing of Takara version is, they fill back in those characters that should be in the toys.

Back. Everything works well on this figure.

Back. The different of this two mode is, the Mega's head, the chest panel is close(for decency, lol), and the jet head is moved to the back.

Close up on Giga's face. Nothing really bad actually, just the white plastic color is looking a little creepy.

Close up on Mega's face, that smile though...

I like the detail sculpting of the torso, very nice, and the Takara version chest slot is already cover with the Mega Giga engine, very cool. I didn't try to remove it, I think it is permanently stuck on the slot.

The back is nothing too special to look at, but it is not bad.

The legs is exactly the same with Hasbro Overlord and Skyshadow, the only different is on colors.

Back is also same with the other two figures.

I would prefer not fully close the chest panel to make the chest more bulky, in Mega case, more 'feminine'.

Head can fully turn 360, and a little bit of forward backward movements.

Shoulder can swing out up to 80 degree, elbow can fold more than 90 degree, no wrist joint except folding in.

There is a double shoulder joint like Skyshadow, but not that useful for posing.

Leg joints works exactly the same with Skyshadow, it works fine for posing.

Luckily the feet is designed like that, the whole figure can go taller compare to Super Ginrai, without this, the figure is same height level like Ginrai.

Hidden weapon in the stomach. The manga in instruction menu show that Overlord did use the missile launcher like this, so weird, haha.

The gun on tank turret, it look exactly same to the Skyshadow one. I wish Takara would make extra weapon parts to combine with this gun and become like the G1 version.

I normally store the gun on the back like this.

The jet head shield is plugged on the shoulder like this, I store Mega in here to keep it from losing.

Overlord compare to Skyshadow.

Back. The upper body is totally different except the bicep, side wings and some parts in the figure.

Compare to Super Ginrai, without the raise feet. Almost the same height.

With the raised heel, look a lot better now.

Titanmaster Dreadnaut, the head of Titans Return Overlord.

Side. Some of the parts is look like Giga, but it is a totally different parts.

Back.

This Titanmaster left arm is very loose, sometimes it even pop off when my finger hit the arm.

Four figures compares to each other. Takara one is totally different from the Hasbro, But Dreadnaut share some of it parts with Ominus.

Head comparisons, from left to right: Skyshadow, TR Overlord, Giga and Mega. I really prefer the face sculpting of TR Overlord, but original is original, I mostly display Takara rather than Hasbro one.

It is hard to tell did I really swap the Skyshadow face on, they look almost same.

The most different part from Hasbro to Takara, the chest panel. I like this version of the chest plate, looks really nice.

I also do the not fully close chest panel thing on this Overlord, it look better.

The chest slot for Titanmasters, it even work on Primemasters.

The legs of the Titanmasters/Headmasters can be weapons on the slot.

This is weird if the Titanmaster/Headmaster head is facing forward.

The helmet on both version is actually totally different.

The most different things on both Overlord is on the chest.

Both gun is same, just the handle in Takara version is in white color(unpainted).

I like the painted windshield pane on Hasbro version but I like the color of Takara version, sigh...

Three figures that related compare to each other.

TR Overlord joints is a lot looser compare to Takara Overlord and Skyshadow.

Overlord Tera in 360 GIF. This is the combined mode in the manga in the instruction menu, it combine with the chokon power call Jin Chokon Shinka, Overlord Giga summon another Megajet and Gigatank, that the parts was use by Mega, and then it combine into Overlord Tera.

Need to prepare the main figure into this form.

The back with another Megajet head.

The another Overlord upper body turn into this stage.

And the lower section of the other Overlord turn to this.

Put the other Overlord upper body on the main Overlord like this to combine.

Then just simply place the main figure on the leg platform to finish the combine form.

This combine mode height is really tall, and the missile launcher on the other Overlord can open in this mode too.

Compare to Super Ginrai, Overlord look like a tower now.

Compare to God Ginrai, the height is even.

It is huge comparing to different series figures.

"You fall into our trap, Ginrai! Hahahahaha!" Gigatank sneak attack gets Super Ginrai.

"Die, Ginrai!" Megajet execute the following attack on Ginrai.

"Mega, combine!", "Yes, Giga!".

"Transform--- Overlord!!"

Overlord throw a strong straight punch to Ginrai.

The power of Overlord is overwhelming, Ginrai can't even fight back.

"Mega rocket attack!!"

"Aarghh--!!" Ginrai was strike hard by the Megajet.

"Ginrai, show me your full potential! I want fight with your full power!!"

"If you want it so much, I will show you! Chokon gattai! God Ginrai--!!" Super Ginrai immediately combine with Godbomber and become God Ginrai.

"You will regret it, Overlord!" Ginrai shout at Overlord furiously.

"Hahaha! You are mistaken, Ginrai, I had prepare for this since last fight, watch out!!"

"Jin Chokon Sosei!"

"Ginrai, you never thought I could capable of doing this? Hahaha!" Mega, "Mega, chojin gattai!!" Giga shout, "Yes, Giga!".

JIN CHOKON SHINKA GATTAI! (God Super Soul Evolve Combined!) "Overlord Tera---!!"

"My power is way surpass you, Ginrai!" Overlord, "What!? Overlord Tera!!?" Ginrai is shocked to see the new combine form of Overlord.

"This is your final destination, Ginrai---!!" as Overlord charge towards God Ginrai, this final battle was on...!

The Phase Sixers of Megatron's armies.

Megatron recruit Overlord, Sixshots and Skyshadow as the Phase Sixers to do his phased infiltration protocol, they are the phase six executors, they pretty much do the invasion and extermination job in the process.

But Overlord questioning the mission, and get deserted from the Decepticon army, later on he end up on Garrus-9, the prison planet, and took over of the prison planet.
