Hasbro Transformers Power Of The Primes, Terrorcons Hun Gurrr. (ft Abominus)

HUN GURRR ft. ABOMINUS
(CLICK THE PICTURES TO ENLARGE)

This Hun Gurrr review was delayed for so long until now I can post it on the blog, it suppose to be posted last week, but sickness caught on me, sigh...

Hun Gurrr monster mode in 360 GIF.

Close up on the beast head, the articulation of the head is good, because it is the ankle joint of the robot mode, mouth can open 180 flat too, it is the feet of the figure.

The molded details on the back legs/arms of the robot looks really nice, like some kind of super high tech machine.

The Prime armor feet can store on the back legs like this, not the best way, but it is the only option to do it.

There are two Primemaster standing points on the back of the monster mode.

Not much things on the monster mode, but at least it can stand like this.

Hun-Gurrr

is the leader of the Terrorcons and would be quite the model Decepticon and military strategist if he could just stop stuffing his two mouths. Hun-Gurrr is a terrible glutton, constantly filling his stomach with as much energy and materials as he can find. He only ever stops his insatiable feeding frenzies to fulfill his other desire: wanton destruction. In this capacity he is quite adept as a military leader, although his underlings are sometimes unable to understand his commands when Hun-Gurrr has stuffed his face(s) full of fallen Autobots.

Hun Gurrr robot mode in 360 GIF.

Close up on the bot mode head, the silver paint on the 'sunglasses' looks good. Is that the machine gun on the temple area? Like Gundam?

The front is just the tail of the monster cover over the chest of the figure. (I forgot to shut tight the belly plate)

Under the tail is just the the horns and some molded details.

The fins on the chest will push in underneath the tail when fold down...

...and push out the fins on the tail to reveal it.

The whole back is cover with the backpack that is the chest plate of the Abominus.

The knee part that the plates covering is the combiner port for arms, this also fold down when it is in monster mode.

Back of the legs is hollow. If Hasbro could make a plate cover that area, the plate would cover the back of the combine mode too.

Shoulder is on ratchet joint, it can lift up the arm 90 degree, but the whole ratchet joint is not strong enough to hold the fully combine figure to pose. Elbow is just a normal hinge joint, it can also fold 90 degree, but there is no swivel joint on the wrist due the combining port is over there.

Legs articulation is doing good, hips is on light ratchet joint, strong enough to pose the figure, knee is on double hinge joint, and the ankle tilting joint do very well too, just the feet forward backward movement is a little loose, have to careful for the figure fell back or forward.

The only weapons for Hun Gurrr, just like Grimlock, I think it is only suitable attaching on the forearm like this.

Because it is very weird holding on hand, like holding two boxes pretending it is guns.

My fan mode of Hun Gurrr, a Cybertron space ship.

The forearm is the engines of the ship

From this angle, it look a bit like the horse shoe crab.

Decepticons assault ship.

The base mode of Hun Gurrr, refers to the canceled concept art of G1 Hun Gurr, the new one should be looking like this.

Back of the base mode.

The other choice of the base mode.

The Matrix of Combination come with this Hun Gurrr box.

Compares to King Starscream and Vocanicus Matrix of Combination, they all look different. I can't say I prefer which, but at least the color of the Dinobots Matrix look the best.

Hun Gurr in combiner mode, the main torso of Abominus. (the thigh should be turn around facing backward in this mode, I didn't do it here because it felt unstable to stand if turn around)

It look really good up front, but viewing from side, it is kind of flimsy.

As I say, the back is... no back. If they make plate cover and put on the lower legs, it could cover up the back as it is completed, this look incomplete now, like someone torn away the back of the figure. If they could put some peg hole on the plate, it can store the left over combiner parts too. (I am building a shield piece from left over plastic model kits parts for Hun Gurrr, it is also a back piece of Abominus, will show it when I complete the parts.)

With the Matrix installed on the figure.

By far the only Combiner can hide the Matrix under its chest plate.

Compares to CW series Silverbolt. Hun Gurrr is actually sharing the design of Silverbolt, the joints, the way it transform, the way it combine, even the size is same.

They are same, but so different.

The most improved things on Hun Gurrr is the molded details on the figure, but they are actually 3 years apart from releasing.

The pegs on Hun Gurrr is matched(by height of the figure) to Silverbolt peg hole, is it coincidence?

Combiner mode comparison, can see how much the figure is similar from here.

But Abominus is a lot thin from this view, Abominus is actually a reverse combine mode of Superion, the front of Abominus is the back of Superion.

Abominus's back look unfinished compares to Superion.

Terrorcon monster team line up.

Bot mode line up. (Hun Gurrr look like a white knight from far away...)

Hun Gurrr compares to different series and classes of TF figures.

The Terrorcons combine mode, Abominus 360 GIF.

Another combining choice, legs and arms exchange.

I try fiddle the left over combiner parts on the thigh, does it look okay now? Better?

I turn over the thigh, and use Hun Gurrr's hand as peg hole to attach the combiner parts, look a bit weird from side view though.

Decepticons Super Scramble mode. (I found this combination on internet so I try it, not bad, there are still many combinations to do, cool)

Abominus compares to Potp King Starscream and CW Bruticus, Abominus is a bit taller than Bruticus.

<Previous stories> The group of Terrorcons kidnap Hound and interrogated him for Autobots intels, Dinobots come to the rescue, but Grimlock was ambush by the leader of Terrorcons, and they get away. Click here (PART 1, PART 2) to check the previous stories.

Seems the Terrorcons infiltrated Autobots base for the Matrix of Combination.

Hun Gurrr can't wait to try the power of the Combiner Matrix, while the rest of the Terrorcons is still fighting Autobots.

The Matrix fits very well into the back of Hun Gurrr.

The Matrix of Combination turned! It merge to Hun Gurrr system.

Perceptor ask them to stop using the Matrix.

Cutthroat gets angry and threat to kill him.

Hun Gurrr stop Cutthroat from killing Perceptor, he got the better idea.

They're leaving to destroy the city all the civilian lived, what are they planning? The destruction of Cybertron?

But someone is on their way to the destruction... Is Dinobots! The full team of Dinobots!

It's too late, yeah, Terrorcons got the Matrix.

Hun Gurrr got the chance to try the new power he just got.

TERRORCONS, COMBINE!!

FORM ABOMINUS---!!

Abominus immediately attacks his enemies, Dinobots dodged the attack of the giant feet.

He is very satisfy with his new found power from the Matrix.

But Dinobots also got something up their sleeve against the Terrorcons.

UNITE, DINOBOTS!!

The rest of the team is excited.

Abominus is surprise about the situation here.

VOLCANICUS IS HERE---!!

Volcanicus punch straight to Abominus without hesitation!

But the punch do not much damage to Abominus, he is enhanced by the Matrix.

The Terrorcons combiner pay back some regards to Volcanicus!

He keep punching Volcanicus.

The Dinobots combiner don't even got the chance to fight back.

With the power of the Matrix, he is invincible! Vocanicus is battered.

The master of the Terrorcons is up to something, no one can stop them...

To be continue......??

Some day in Decepticons base, Terrorcons encounter the assassin of the Decepticons.

Sixshot turn around and talk to them.

Hmm... They are die hard fanboys of Sixshot, some of them break because of the respond of Sixshot.

POTP JAZZ
POTP STARSCREAM

THANKS FOR WATCHING!
