ASTROTRAIN
(CLICK THE PICTURES TO ENLARGE [ALL MY PICS DIMENSIONS IS 1000x1000px OR 1920x1080px] POSSIBLE FOR WALLPAPER USE)
Space shuttle mode.
Top of the shuttle.
Not a bad shuttle design, I like the design of the canopy most.
Front landing gear.
Rear landing gear on the the chest of robot mode.
Instruction show weapons plug on both side of the wings.
But I much prefer plug on the side of the shuttle.
Cockpit, it is weird that the Headmaster pilot the shuttle on this position. The rear wings is only on friction to position different angles, not sure what's the angle it should be.
Astrotrain's Headmaster in the cockpit.
There is a bit details in the cockpit.
Alternative mode, Cybertron shuttle ship.
Back.
Train mode (Terror Train, ha) 360 GIF.
Top of the train. This train is kind of like mobile fortress on train tracks. (thats why I call it Terror Train)
More than one feet long!
Close up on the train front end, very nice design, I like it.
Train wheels and doors details on the side of the train, not bad.
Some turrets on the train.
The train mode use the same cockpit of the shuttle mode.
Three wheels at the bottom of the train, the middle wheels is hidden when in robot mode.
The instruction also show the weapons should plug on the peg holes on this area, but it's loose till the weapons can't stay straight on the peg.
I really prefer to plug on the side of the canopy.
Alternate train mode, bullet train (with heavy fire power, haha).
Not sure what's the name of this Headmaster, it didn't show on box, I know Hasbro version is call Darkmoon, maybe this one is same? Or simply just Astrotrain??
Back. Like carrying a statue head on the back...
Robot mode 360 GIF. I wait so long for this version of color, the hasbro version color is too light, makes Astrotrain look less mean.
Around 7.3 inches head height.
Close up. It is hard to see the eyes if not close up.
I like how they did the details on the torso, look so technological advance.
Not sure where the wings to put to, prefer it like G1 style. The peg hole on the back of the hips is totally no use for display stand, it's better they put two holes on each side of the hips. (shuttle mode don't even have peg hole)
There are a lots of details on the back hidden beneath the wings, look like train details, doors, hand rail...
Lower legs also got details of hatches and others.
There are wheels on the back of the legs, the uneven placed wheels is to make sure when the legs join together, the wheels got spaces to go.
Astrotrain look not that characteristic without the neck piece.
This neck gimmick limited the head movements, but without it, Astrotrain won't look that cool. Picture show the maximum neck turning angle.
Elbow joint is only go more than 90 degree max, the forearms is a bit weird for me, it's like too long.
Leg articulations is acceptable, but no ankle tilting, what a bummer. Some of the joints on Astrotrain is loose, even for this Takara version, especially hip and knee joint.
With weapon that look like G1 version.
Second weapon with Headmaster seat.
Headmaster Darkmoon/Astrotrain on the second weapon.
Weapons in Headmaster turret mode.
I usually store the weapons like this.
Compare with Generations Blitzwing, same height.
Finally, we are partners again, Blitzwing.
The Decepticons.
Comparison with various Cybertronians.
Tripple changer, Astrotrain! (was so excited when I first knew triple changer when I were kid, but few years later came six changer...)
"Astrotrain, leader of the Astroforce..."
"Decepticons, attack---!"
Dominating battlefield.
Join the latest Decepticons group of Mad Tyranny after Megatron turn to Autobots on Cybertron. (IDW)
Fight side to side with Prowl when the war getting messy.

Astrotrain
loves to sow confusion. To this end, his Triple Changer abilities serve him well. Nothing pleases him more than confronting an Autobot in a dark corner and making him wonder if he's up against one Decepticon or two. He craves having this power over others. Single-minded, you may say, but when most of your time is spent transporting troops around, you have to take your jollies where you can. He wants more from life, but it's either fly the other Decepticons around, or get scrapped by them.
