This is the first legit movie Optimus Prime I have, Ultimate Optimus Prime doesn't count as one, it is kind of odd figure that doesn't include weapons, like not completed toy.

I got this version, it's because it doesn't carry a big backpack like the old one, and the kibble parts did turn into the shield, like I think how it should done with the backpack thing on the TF4 Leader Class Optimus Prime, they made it.

I haven't watch the fifth movie, a lot of peoples dislike the movie, they quote as typical "Bayformer" movie. For me, it is more like Bay's personal Cybertronians fantasy, not a real Transformers movie, it is not bad at the first one, but the rest, mm... Whatever...

The top of the truck.

This truck roll really well, and it look very pretty, it is retool from TF4 Leader Class Optimus Prime, and they did modified stuff on this figure, but this truck doesn't look a lot different from the TF4 version.

I checked the price of the Western Star truck, it worth around US150,000 per unit, the model is 5700XE. Whoa...

Those printed flame decals, really nice.

Chromed x6 exhaust pipes.

Front rim, oil tank and the manufacturer name are on chrome.

The rear wheels and the WS plate also chromed, those wheels, man...

Back of the truck. Isn't the connector of the truck suppose to be at the end of the truck?

The whole chromed grill can open up, but no engine in the bay. Hehe, Bay has no engine, pun, no engine = no heart?

In alt mode, the sword and the caliber axe can store beneath truck. But it doesn't really work, sword clip is loose, doesn't hold firmly, axe doesn't stick close to the truck, it will get scratched when pushing the truck forward backward.

I store the first edition limited sword like this, I didn't see any other place to clip this weapon.

Unlike TF4 Optimus Prime alt mode, the back of the truck is separated from the front.

I can't connect the trailer on the truck, because the peg hole is on the end of the truck. (I think MP10 trailer fit on this truck? I heard there will be a 3rd party MP10 trailer on the market soon...)

Height is around 8.5 inches, the lower legs is huge compare to the movie version.

Close up on the face of Prime. This version included face changing mechanism.

The other face without the armor.

Simply flip up the face from chin, and turn away the face part to change face mode. (it is little hard to turn over the face, might have to loosen up the screw)

Close up details on the torso. Wonder it is different from the old version? I mean shapes and colors.

The details under the chest also look very nice.

The back without those kibble parts looks a lot nicer, and they did some details on the back too.

I think they did some changing on the legs too.

Total hollowed below the knee joint, don't like it.

The head is on ball joint, it can do a little of forward/backward movement, and the head can turn 45 degree angle, because collar obstructed the back armor on the head.

Shoulder joint can swing out up to 90 degree angle, elbow joint is also 90 degree angle. But the shoulder ratchet is in weird angle, it was rather straight or 20 degree angle position, it is weird to pose the arm at that 20 degree angle. (because it look like sumo wrestler arm, their armpit was too fat so it stay at that angle.) The weird ratchet joint position happens to most of the Hasbro/Takara Transformers figures, it is really annoying to me.

The thumb can open up to hold weapons.

With waist swivel joint, but the crotch armor doesn't swivel together, it connect to the upper part.

The ratchet hip joints is quite good, and the knee can fold to 90 degree angle, but i wish the ankle have more clearance for the ball joint to move, it would be better if the ball joint can extend longer. (I did a bit modification on the toe joint, the figure will fall forward if carry the shield, the toe can lift up a bit about 10 more degree angle, it does no good for this figure, so, I glue some plastic on the toe joint to limit the joint angle)

The sword that Prime use in the movie. The silver paint on this sets is really nice, I like it, but I prefer if it is a bit darker silver.

Caliber axe.

The handle of the axe separable from the handle.

He must be woodsman before he is Prime, haha.

First edition limited sword, this sword is suitable for older version Optimus Prime, it look like the older one in movie.

The limited sword can combine with the axe, really cool.

The handle can be the scepter in the new movie, haha.

Weapons can store on the clips on back, the limited sword can also put the sword clip too. (it is not loose like the clip on the shield, that one beneath truck mode)

The shield part transform from the back of the truck, looking nice and neat.

The back of the shield, with some peg holes and weapons clips, and some truck wheels is visible. This shield is heavy, it is hard for the figure to hold it, the tricks is positioning the left leg forward to prevent it falling forward.

There is a peg hole on the back of the figure to store the shield, the figure itself stand very well with shield on the back.

The peg hole can be peg to plug the shield backward, it is for alt mode transformation use.

Front view when the shield is on. (transformation ready) The transformation steps is not really that hard on this figure, I still can do it without the instruction menu.

With the alt mode parts all open up on the main figure.

Most of my Transformers movie figures line up with Caliber Optimus Prime.

Comparing to Ultimate Optimus Prime (without the ultimate Apex armor, it is my only movie Optimus Prime), and it is not that legitimate one in the whole series.
