GRIMLOCK

Grimlock
Some Autobots wonder why Grimlock is even on their side. His disposition is much more suited to the Decepticons. After all, he values power and strength over wisdom and compassion, and furthermore, he doesn't really get along with most Autobots. When faced with a problem, his usual responses are to slice it with his energo-sword, tear it to pieces with his bare hands, or outright eat it. He is more willing to accept casualties than most of the Autobot leadership, and doesn't seem particularly concerned about the fleshies either. These things, coupled with his dislike of Optimus Prime, have led to a defection or two on Grimlock's part. He'd have no problem offing the Autobot leader if he thought he could get away with it, though.
What the Autobots don't realize is that the only thing he hates more than weakness is those who abuse their strength, meaning when push comes to shove, Grimlock will always fall in on the right side of the fence. And despite their disagreements, Grimlock holds a respect for Prime's strength and leadership. His real feud within the Autobot ranks is with Prowl; Grimlock's chaotic behavior drives Prowl up the wall, and Prowl's uptight personality gives Grimlock much grief.
Grimlock is the leader of the Dinobots, a small but powerful strike squad. Grimlock himself is extremely strong and durable, and is one of the few Transformers who can not only stand toe-to-toe with Optimus Prime and Megatron, but actually give them a run for their money. Despite his strength and prowess, Grimlock continually struggles with his pronouns.

Grimlock dino mode 360 GIF.
Dorsal view of Grimlock.
The dinosaur head can move back and forward, jaw can open more than 90 degree.
Ball jointed little arm.
Hinged leg, but only the upper hinge is working in dino mode, because the lower hinge is folded forward.
The whole tail is movable, this part is actually the lower legs of the robot mode.
His Prime armors can attach on the dino mode, but it only attach on the legs, it is weird to look at, like some restraining tools.
I saw some people using the Prime armor like this, but it is not actually attach on the legs.
I much prefer if Hasbro could make the Prime armors attach on the dino back like that, much promising, like wearing jet-pack in G1 cartoon.
My fan-made alt mode, Cybertronian star fighter.
With two large booster and a dino head in the middle, hehe.
Grimlock robot mode in 360 GIF.
Close up on Grimlock face.
It would be nicer if the paint in the transparent chest plate is using chrome gold paint, and the details on the clear plastic is hard to see too.
The core piece hidden between the transparent chest plate, where Volcanicus head is in, this piece look like voice box parts. The transparent chest piece is actually loose, and it had no locking system to secure the shoulder area, when you put force downward to the arms, the chest piece will split, it's annoying. (especially when in the fan made combiner mode)
Happy to see the back of the figure look like in the G1 cartoon, the transforming style is close to old version too.
The signature back butterfly wing can close together like in the picture.
The design of the legs is not bad, I would prefer the thigh is thicker, and I kind of hate those foil stickers, they could cut it smaller to avoid the sticker fall off or pop out.
A lots of details on the back of the legs, it look really nice.
Head can turn till this angle, the mouth piece is caught by the hinge for the dino head.
Hinged shoulder joint can lift 90 degree up, elbow with two hinges and it fold all the way to the shoulder.
Swivel joint in between the waist and crotch area, it can rotate 360 degree.
Legs articulations is good, hips joint can swing out more than 100 degree, knee joint can fold more than 90 degree.
No weapons for this Grimlock, only using the Prime armor for close combat fight.
The Dinobot version of Enigma Of Combination can fit into the Prime Armor, but it will fall off constantly because it doesn't clip tight in the Prime armor.
Close up on the enigma. They're different, but this look better than Starscream one.
Compare to Henkei Grimlock, they look a lot different, but they are still Grimlock.
Totally different outlook and transforming style.
Compare to different class TF figures, Grimlock is a lot shorter than Voyager class figures, he should be bigger...
The Dinobots Combiner, Volcanicus!
Hasbro really ruined Volcanicus outlook, the overly wide shoulder, totally emptied back. (usual work of Hasbro...)
The back is totally empty, no backpack or protruded back, it look so empty and unfinished on the whole figure, worst than Menasor.
Close up on Volcanicus head, it look almost exactly like in the Earth War game.
The back of the head.
This is kind of stupid design for me, enigma in T-rex mouth? Skip!
This is the fan mode makes Volcanicus look better, it doesn't look stupid as before. (without upgrade kits, this is the option)
The shoulder itself doesn't lock on the torso, but it is okay for posing
Plug the extra Prime armor on the peg hole on Grimlock's forearms, this cover a bit of the hollowness on the back, and the back will look as empty as before.
The good thing for the thigh facing this side is, the knee joint of Grimlock can be a hip joint to fold up like this.
The thigh can also turn to this side for more bulky look, but no more articulation on the hip.
Another style for the main torso, I think later this will be how Perfect Effect do to Volcanicus with their upgrade parts.
The back is not as empty now with Grimlock's arm on the back, the bad things is the combiner arms is slightly tilted forward. I think the Perfect Effect upgrade kits will solve this problems.
Flip out the wrists and it could be extra peg holes for more attachments on the back.
Volcanicus comparing to Menasor. The newest combiner stand shorter than the previous combiner, Dinobots combiner shoulder larger than other combiners. (or should I say the first batch of combiner from CW series?)
"Combaticons! Attack----!!"
"Huh? What the!?" when they just started to run but someone is in their way, he is Grimlock.
"Roar---!! Me Grimlock smash!!" Grimlock pick up one of the Decepticons and throw him to the air.
"OMP~~!! They(Dinobots) are everywhere~~!!" Combaticons gets very scare they all flee!
The time they combine and went berserk!
BOOM--!! "No combiners could stop me!!"
Thanks for watching!
